well, it's been a while since i've written a post...

i just returned from switzerland with a huge suitcase full of gorgeous fabrics for spring and am now starting to think spring. i was able to buy all kinds of wonderful fabrics directly from 2 fabric factories in switzerland as well as 2 others just across the border in germany. they are all  manufactured there, not in some countries far far away. it was refreshing to not just see textile manufacturing there but lots of companies manufacturing all kinds of wonderful products right there in the heart of europe. hope the good ol' US of A will take a lesson from that.
so spring is looking full of pattern mixing for me. we got plaids and stripes and all kinds of other good stuff. i will also design some of the fabrics i will be using. the inspirations so far are moss, flowers, newts (yes, NEWTS!) and swiss scherenschnitte (a traditional art of papercutting design). can't wait to see what we end up with!

in anticipation of two sales i'm working on creating inventory like a mad woman and i also created some belts, here's a sneak peak! they will be available in several color combinations, including black (gasp!)
the first event will be the fall sprawl at art star in philadelphia, pa september 18th and 19th and the next one will be VAz at the society room in hartford, ct on october 7. see you there!

I braced the heat this Saturday and went to say hello to Art Star in Philadelphia where my line is now available. What a beautiful store and what great ladies. Go and shop!
